The idea of this project revolves around creating video tutorials/manuals as an attempt to infilterate the violence out of an oppressive tool. The subversion of oppressive vehicles into objects of passive resistance is what is subjected to by transforming barricades into welcome posts/ household utensils or extending an ecological intervention by growing plants in it. A barricade, is an object steeped in urban history, whether deployed as an act of bottom-up resistance, top-down control, or more recently as a preventative measure, uniting these differing motives is the association with potential and past violence. The work becomes globally relevant in terms of an initiation of conversation on excessive exploitation of the resources by an organised and systematic oppression.
